On the occasion of Yoga Day 2021 PM, Modi launches the mYoga app in collaboration with WHO

mYoga app: Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi on the occasion of International Yoga Day 2021 stated during a Seventh International Yoga day in the early morning that today when is the whole world is fighting against a pandemic caused by the coronavirus and yoga is still a ray of hope.

On this yoga day, the ministry of cultural affairs celebrates International Yoga day at more than 75 cultural heritage locations all over the country.

Prahlad Singh Patel, the union minister of state for culture and tourism to perform yoga at Delhi’s Red Fort on June 21, at 7 am and similarly other senior officials of the ministry to conduct yoga camps at various forts and monuments which includes the Agra fort, Ellora caves in Maharashtra, Shanti stupa situated in Ladakh, and Nalanda in Bihar.

All safety measures are also considered due to Covid-19 and limited the participants to 20 at each site for the conducted yoga session.

On the occasion of yoga day, the PM of India Narendra Modi has launched an application based on the preference of yoga and known as mYoga which is going to be available worldwide.

India has launched this application in collaboration with World Health Organisation as a very important step in terms of maintaining a healthy body and a lifestyle.

It has been mentioned that the mYoga app is going to be launch soon and the application consists of videos in different languages of yoga training for people all over the world. This application will help in achieving the motto of “One World, One Health”.

PM Narendra Modi on his Twitter handle wrote that “ The theme for this year is ‘Yoga For Wellness’, which focuses on practicing Yoga for physical and mental wellbeing.”

The ideology of International Yoga Day was dreamed by PM Modi, who proposed this concept on September 27, 2014, while delivering his speech at the UN General Assembly.

This resolution to adopt June 21 as International Yoga Day was introduced in UN by Indian Ambassador, Ashoke Kumar Mukerji. The resolution has received support from 177 nations which is the highest number till now as co-sponsors for any UN resolution.
